Whot is Faction Farming? - Guild Wars Forums

Hello Everyone.

Iam newish to Factions have been playing for about 2 weeks a W/M, any way i was in my Guild Hall and saw the "Priest of Balthazar" (Rewards) so i had a look

. I have not enouge Faction Points to get anything yet, one of the Guild members told me that you could go Faction farming.

So this is whot i would like to know, How and were

I would like to be able to get ALL the Skills listed at the Priest about 48,000 Fraction Points.

So haw do i go about doing it as none of my Guild members know.

All help would be of great help.

You get faction by doing PvP. You get the most Balthazzar Faction from GvG, HoH, TA/RA.

Faction Farming is basically, Doing a quest or Battle to get ur faction.

There 3 types of faction

Balthazar(More Mainly for PvP)
Luxon and Kurzicks ( Owning this kind of faction is benificial )
When you have more faction in luxon than in Kurzicks, u will have extra options.
1. You can talk to all Luxon NPC( Such as crafters, traders, Merchents so on so on..)
2. You can transfer in 1000 faction for a piece of jade (1 piece of Amber If kurzick) (which are used for 15K armoures)
3. You can also turn in faction in groups of 5000 to the faction transferer NPC in ether Cavalon Or House zu Heltzer. This faction is put towards ur guild and/or alliance, and your titles for being ally of the luxons Or kurzicks, and so on.

Also Vice-Versa for kurzicks^

Ways for faction farming
1. Everyone has access to Alliance battles through there Guild hall.
This is a large scale pvp battle between luxons and kurzicks, the rewards are faction.More detail on how these battles work are in other locations of the forums.
2. Each faction side ( Luxon and Kurzicks ) Has 2 Competitive Missions. And they both are The Jade Quarry(Luxon/kurzicks) and
Fort Aspenwood(Luxon/kurzicks) these are more random arena type battles, But the rewards are once again faction.More detail on how these battles work are in other locations of the forums.
3. There are also Challenge Missions. Each side has 2 challenge missions. This is where a group of 8 would Set up and Protect a Npc from monsters or go out and collect/capture bases.Once again the reward is faction.More detail on how these battles work are in other locations of the forums.
4. Quests
Both Luxons and Kurzicks start off with and abundent amount of quests.
doing these quests will reward you with faction , and money and exp.

There are also REPEATABLE quests such as The Supply run for both sides.
You can do it as many times as u want.

You can only have 10 k faction on u at all times for each side.

Balthzar faction Is Much different then Luxon and Kurzick Faction.
It can be used to unlock skills, items, Ect ect. for ur acc. The only way to get this faction is from PvP.

NOTE If a Guild Or Alliance has Enough faction as a whole , they can "Own" a town, allowing them access to a merchent that gives discounts and a fireworks master which makes fireworks go off in that town. If your alliance owns one of the 2 main town(House zu Heltzer, Cavalon) You get he 1st 2 things, but also access to and elite mission. Thanks BrokenMonkey that was an awesome run down of factions I learn't a lot from your post.

So taxi for elite missions, is that a guild invite system ? or just anyone can go along ?
